PHYSICAL CONDITIONING & PROGRESSING BALLET TECHNIQUE (PBT)

Physical Conditioning is required in all Classical Ballet Program levels, the Boys Class and the Youth Program. This unique program is a body specialty class designed to coach our dancers in strength and flexibility through proper stretching techniques. Classes prepare our students to be strong dancers capable of developing accurate Pointe shoe work, a strong core and overall physical ballet condition. Physical Conditioning is key to avoid undesired injuries.

Our Physical Conditioning Classes also incorporate elements of Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT).  Progressing Ballet Technique is an innovative program developed for ballet students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best in classical ballet.  PBT was developed by Australia's Royal Academy of Dance Examiner Marie Walton-Mahon.  Our physical conditioning instructors are trained and certified in PBT.

Boys Class attends one (1) hour of Physical Conditioning per week.

Classical Ballet Program - Coral, Cherry and Emerald attend one (1) hour of Physical Conditioning per week.

Classical Ballet Program - Maroon, Royal Blue, Black and Pre Professional attend two (2) hours of Physical Conditioning per week.
