Javier Morales

Boys Ballet Teacher

Javier Morales graduated as dancer and teacher from the National School of Ballet in  Havana, Cuba in 2003. He worked under the tutelage of various masters such as Adria Velázquez, Fernando Alonso, Lázaro Carreño and Ramona de Saá. From 2003 to 2014 he danced with the National Ballet of Cuba under the artistic direction of world renown Prima Ballerina Assoluta and Choreographer Alicia Alonso where he became First Soloist. Javier participated in the Ballet Festival of Havana several times. During his professional time with the Cuban National Ballet, he had featured roles in world-renowned classical masterpieces such as Giselle, Swan Lake, Coppélia, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote and Shakespeare and his Masks. He also excelled in numerous contemporary works by choreographers such as Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Alberto Mendez, Peter Quans, Jorge Amarante and Antonio El Pipa. He has danced in the best theaters around the world in Europe, Asia, South America and North America. He danced the Corsaire Pas de Deux, among other works with the Classic Ballet of Mazatlan Sinaloa, Mexico. This is Javier’s second season as Artist in Residence for Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre and is excited to join Feijoó Ballet School as Classical Ballet teacher for the Boys Ballet Class.
