Meaghan Abel
Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) Teacher
Meaghan danced for seventeen years starting at the age of 3. She danced at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts and Feijoo Ballet School growing up. She was also a Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre company member for six years performing in various ballets and musicals. Meaghan was BAHBT’s Makenzie Stocker 2015-2016 scholarship recipient, a BAHBT SEED 2017-2018 scholarship winner, and BAHBT’s Esprit de Corps recipient for 2015-2016. She attended many summer intensives including American Ballet Theater, Nashville Ballet, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Meaghan was considered for Nashville Ballet’s second company in 2017 and was in the Graduate Program at Pittsburgh Ballet Theater for the 2018-2019 season.
Meaghan is a certified Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) teacher. She graduated from Houston Community College in 2021 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapy Assisting. She currently works as a PTA at Post Acute Medical Rehabilitation Hospital and Cornerstone Long Term Acute Care Hospital in Webster, TX.
Meaghan is also continuing her education at the University of Houston to finish her Bachelor of Science degree in Health, Allied Health.
